Hi everyone,
I want to let you all know about an amazing website where Santa will send a video to your child, complete with photo and personal information. Check it out at http://www.santa.sympatico.ca. (Not sure if it’s for Canadians only-sorry if it is!)
Also, if you are looking for something to do with the kiddies, try making these Christmas ornaments, they are easy, smell delicious, fun and best of all, no baking is required!!
1 cup of cinnamon
3/4 cup applesauce
Mix together, use your hands. This is messy!!!!!Add more cinnamon if necessary and either pat or roll on wax paper to about 1/4 inch. Cut out shapes with cookie cutters and let sit to dry. About 2 days. Then decorate. Glitter glue is nice and the kids love it. (Dont forget to use a straw or something small to make a small hole that you can pull string through for hanging-before they dry.) I bought cinnamon in bulk, a biggggg bag and it only cost me $3.24!!!
We are going to make these this weekend and decorate them next week. I’m planning on making some small ones to put on gifts. They smell delicious and apparently stay this way for years!
Now I’m off to Walmart for yet another visit, hopefully, my very last!

I recently found this recipe for a basic marinade. I use it on fish, and chicken, and we all love it. I have started cooking cod and haddock, in addition to sole and salmon. This recipe is great for all of these types of fish. The kids actually eat their fish when I use this recipe! I hope your kids like it as much.
(The longer you marinate it for, the better. Sometimes I do cook it right away, and its still yummy!)
Kind of like a reverse shepherds pie, but my kids like this way more! This is our all-time favourite, hands down. I could make this every night and they would all clear their bowls. Hubby and I like it too! You can use left over mashed potatoes if you have them, or make them fresh and add whatever vegetables your kids like. Our favourites are peas, carrots and/or corn.

The following recipe was submitted by Diane from Pennsylvania.
Four of the five children who taste tested these cookies loved them and wanted to eat more. Paulina is not a peanut butter fan and did not like them for that reason. Hubby and I loved them, and I ate so many I felt sick for an hour afterwards. I couldn’t find Karo syrup, so I substituted golden corn syrup and they came out great! Thanks Diane!
Ingredients
1 cup white sugar
1 cup Karo
6 cups corn flakes
1 cup peanut butter
1 tsp. vanilla
Instructions
Combine sugar and karo. Bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly.
Add peanut butter & vanilla and stir until a creamy mixture.
Add corn flakes and gently stir until well coated.
Drop spoonfuls onto wax paper or a cookie sheet to cool.
Quick & easy recipe. Great for when you don’t want to heat up your kitchen with the oven.
