I had a very hard week. Teaching grade 2 is not easy at any time, but especially at the end of the year. Today we went on a field trip to the Cambridge Butterfly Conservatory (which was lovely btw). I sat with one of my students.

As we pulled out of the parking lot, he asked me in a worried voice if we were going on the highway. Of course, I replied.

He made a face and said ‘but I get sick in cars on the highway.’ NICE. So nice to be told PRIOR to leaving school so that either-
.
1. He could sit with someone else
.
or
.
2. I might have brought a plastic bag and hand sanitizer and maybe even a clean tshirt… or two.

The day was wild, the kids had fun. I am tired. I had an interview this week, and obviously didn’t get the job because I haven’t heard anything. My ding dong son stressed me out by being impaled by a crashing light fixture this week too. It has been a long week.

What has made me happy is the incredible traffic fiveallmine.com is getting lately….what would make me happier would be if I had more likes on facebook! PLEASE!??? It’s free marketing! And maybe could help me get a children’s story published one day, if I ever had time to write anymore…

Back to my bus trip- I didn’t get puked on. And nothing even went wrong! I didn’t even leave anyone behind and everything went as planned. I haven’t lost anyone since that time I lost a kindergartner on the way down the hall to the library. But that’s another story, and I’ve tried to block it from my memory.
