You know, when I go somewhere overnight, there are certain things that I have to have…like, my toothbrush, moisturizer, eye drops and a change of clothes. Oh, and I also need my very attractive night guard that protects my teeth and jaw from all the gnashing I do at night while sleeping…and my special neck pillow..

My kids are packing for the cottage..Jack has lots of clothes, and importantly, his dvd player for the drive, and his psp for any moments of boredom when his old fashioned mother might allow him to play video games (um, only in the car! Hello!). Seven year old Gregory has clothes, Pokemon cards and his Nintendo dsi. Sabrina, she has packed way too many clothes, including skirts..for frogging perhaps? And, importantly, a skipping rope. A girl has just gotta have her skipping rope.

Another important packing item-magnifying glasses…. Because when Mummy denies any use of electronic devices until after 8pm, it is nice to be able to start a fire or burn your name into logs when you get sick of swimming and frogging. Ah, the cottage…not looking forward to the three hour drive up north, but I am looking forward to the lake and the campfires..this is gonna be fun!
